Culture, Creativity, and Community

Since 2022, Lunar New Year Festival has been bringing the Austin community together for an annual celebration!

We believe that everyone should have the opportunity to experience and learn about Asian cultures and Lunar New Year traditions. We champion supporting Asian women-owned small businesses and strive to contribute to the economic vitality of our Austin community. We hope that our festival will provide a fun and festive way for people of all ages and backgrounds to celebrate the Lunar New Year and learn about the diverse Asian cultural diasporas that make up the Austin community. We are committed to making space for Asian women-owned businesses to showcase their creative talents and products. We also believe in the importance of education and community building, and we hope that our festival will provide a space for people to learn about Asian cultures, AANHPI-centered non-profit organizations, and connect with one another.

For the community, by the community

With an over 2500 estimated attendees and over 40 vendors at our 2025 festival, we are committed to creating an event that continues to bring everyone together for years to come.

The Lunar New Year Festival in Austin is a coordinated effort between our event planning committee, our local volunteers, and contributions through our VIPs and donation based RSVPs.
